Provide guidance, support, and planning to all HRC committees to ensure events, projects, goals and programs are implemented with a STV lens

Solidify partnerships with COT entities with a similar mission of HRC STV by the spring - decipher which requires regular involvement, partnership or sponsorship

Network and build an HRC presence in various community programs, initiatives, and organizations with related missions to HRC STV
The Human Relations Commission is proud to launch our second year of the Kid Mayor program. Mayor Kapszukiewicz and members of Toledo City Council were joined by Kid Mayor and Kid Council Members to officially launch their one-year term on the 22nd floor of One Government Center.
That’s a wrap on this year’s clean up season! We’d like to thank everyone who came out to any or all of the community clean ups that we hosted this year and we look forward to getting back out next spring.
We had an awesome turnout for our Welcoming Picnic on the lawn of the Main Library! Thank you to WelcomeTLC, Toledo Lucas County Public Library, and others for partnering with us and encouraging so many amazing community members to come out.
The Human Relations Commission held two events this summer with Kid Mayor and Council, learning about community partners and downtown living!
National Night Out is an annual, community-building event that works to foster relationships between first responders and community members. It is designed to nurture positive relationships through hands-on activities and community building experiences.
This year’s National Night Out featured face painting, theatre workshops, integration yoga, rock climbing, a basketball tournament, squad car and fire engine tours, and much more.

We had an awesome turnout for our #Juneteenth community cleanup at Scott High School! Thank you to the Zepf Center for partnering with us and encouraging so many amazing volunteers to come out. We will be having another one in July, so look for more information very soon!
